To update your QuicKeys 2 version 2.0 to version 2.0.1 simply launch the QK2 version 2.0 Updater application. (Just double-click on its icon.) You will be asked to show the location of QuicKeys 2. Select the folder, drive or floppy disk where the QuicKeys 2 is located. The Updater application will update CE Toolbox™ next.
Once the update is completed you need to restart your Macintosh. The update will take effect after you restart. This updater will not update any other version of QuicKeys (including the demo versions) and will only update version 1.5 of CE Toolbox.
Updating will not affect your current keysets.
••••• IMPORTANT NOTE:
Updating will reset the size of the QuicKeys 2 buffer to 8 K. If you previously set the buffer to another size, you need to open the Control Panel, select QuicKeys 2, click on the “Configure” button and select the buffer size you wish. If you do not manually reset the buffer your keysets might not load or you may get errors.

QUICKEYS 2.0.1 CHANGES
We fixed memory allocation problems that occurred after a configuration change. In other words, QuicKeys 2 will no longer beep at startup after you alter the buffer size.
We fixed the problem with CoachPro™ version 3.1. QuicKeys 2 will work when CoachPro is installed.
We fixed the Installer. It will work even if the keyset from QuicKeys 1.2 is larger than the buffer size set in QuicKeys 2.
Keysets are no longer left open by QuicKeys 2 when running UniFinder.
We fixed Sequences and Text QuicKeys so that other Text and Alias QuicKeys cannot be activated while the current one is playing.
We changed CE ToolBox so that the modifiers for controlling the pop-up menu are not set. To turn on the pop-up menu you must open CE Toolbox in the Control Panel and select the modifier(s) you wish to use.
We added a button to shut off the startup icon for CE Toolbox. This button is found in the International Launching dialog box that appears if the “International Launching“ button is clicked in the CE Toolbox Control Panel.
Timers will no longer change randomly.
Version 2.0 used to beep (and not show any error message) when QuicKeys 2 tried to load a keyset that was to large for the buffer. Now, an error message will appear, telling you the keyset will not load.
The beeping problems at startup have been taken care of with more extensive error handling. These three conditions will cause an error message to appear.
• An Extension cannot be loaded.
• CE Toolbox cannot be found at startup time.
• An Extension is played, but the code for that Extension did not load.
We restored mouse-relative Clicks (as used in Sequences) back to the way they worked in QuicKeys 1.2. All mouse-relative clicks are now relative to the position of the mouse at the beginning of the sequence. Before this fix, the clicks were relative to where the mouse had been placed by the sequence.
We fixed CE Toolbox so that it now works with SmartAlarms™ 3.0.3.
QuicKeys 2 now works with LifeGuard™.
We fixed a problem that occurred when using SmartCom™. You can now type in both upper and lower case, instead of only in lower case.
We fixed problems QuicKeys 2 had with System 6.0.7 and the List Manager.
Selecting “Compress file” from the Option menu will cause QuicKeys 2 to confirm file keys. It will search volumes for applications and documents and if it cannot find a file, QuicKeys 2 will ask the user to show where the file is located.
We added options to the Configuration dialog so that the “Compress files” options can be customized.
We removed the conflicts between QuicKeys 2 and DiskLock™.
We fixed the launching problem that occurred on 68000 machines under UniFinder.
